I Don’t Get Up at Six on Sunday

You never know where you’re going to hear something that triggers an idea for a new song.  The shower, the train/car, etc.  When we played for a group of soldiers home from Iraq a little over a month ago we stayed in a hotel in the exotic Bettendorf, Iowa (hey, at least they have a Hardee’s).  It was in this hotel room that we came up with our first of hopefully many songs to be written “on the road”.  As yours truly was trying to sleep with a room full of bandmates and a couple of friends, I heard a young lady utter the title of this blog.  Only to my half asleep ear I heard the words Sex on Sunday.  Viola!! Thus we arrive at our new song, Sex on Sunday which we will be debuting for all of you who make it to MOBfest at the Elbo Room on June 24th( which I know will be all of you!).  It’s a straight forward rock and roll song, that if you don’t have any tatoo’s or own a motorcycle, will surely send you out the door looking to acquire both! See you on the 24th!!
